Fredricks, is a fictional character in the Sony Entertainment Television's detective series CID.[1] This character is played by Dinesh Phadnis.[2]
Inspector Fredricks is a police detective who finds humour even in the most difficult circumstances. The odd manner in which he solves cases is comical but successful. No one minds as long as he unravels the case. He fears none but his wife. He is a junior member of the CID team and secretly dreams of heading the CID.[1] Ankita Dhyani considers that "...Earlier the show was focused more on crime solving and had a serious theme. But now there are elements of fun and romance as well...." She quotes Dinesh Phadnis' comments on the change, “This is for relaxation to cut down the tense tone. I enjoy my comic role.”[2]
